The curtain is getting opened - morris mn

The water tower stands out through tree branches on the edge of the UMM campus. (B.W. photos)
Here's our Morris MN public library in wintertime.
Nature presides very close to Morris. This photo was taken on the west bank of the Pomme de Terre River.

This blog is under construction so there's nothing truly elaborate or well-researched set for display at this time. The process is probably very simple when all is said and done, but right now I feel a sense of "data overload" and will have to take a break or get some questions answered, whatever.
But it feels very exciting and engaging!
Hopefully this can be a springboard for some dynamic representation of things related to Morris, Minnesota, in the heart of the West Central Minnesota prairie. Part of the inspiration for this comes from Del Sarlette, of band instrument repair fame, whose business is on Morris' dynamic main street.
I may have to seek some consultation to get this little project "on the road" as it were, but I think the rewards will justify the effort.
And to think that I got my start on a clunky manual typewriter in the "bowels" of the Sun Tribune building, part of the "dead tree media" business which is on the ropes and battling the likes of this humble little blog.
I'm sitting at our friendly Morris public library composing this, meaning I'm such a cheapskate I don't even have my own computer. Perhaps this deficiency will be addressed at some time. The longer the wait, the more I can be ensured of getting a state of the art piece of equipment. A convenient laptop might fill the bill.
I hear the Wi-Fi at McDonald's will be gratis pretty soon, so I can be a cheapskate at McDonald's and share some wisdom via this blog after wolfing down a quarter pounder or something. Much wisdom is to be gleaned at "Mac and Don's Supper Club" due to the likes of the Waddells - Brent, Lenora and Tawsha - and the affable raconteur, Glen Helberg of "Helberg's corner" on Pacific Avenue.
Tawsha Waddell is part of the indefatigable McDonald's crew. She's an engaging and vivacious lady.
Oh, there's so much to report and opine upon. I'm sure there's an audience out there just waiting with baited breath (and as Del would add, "with worms in his mouth").
What an age we live in, when in a few minutes a knave like me can launch something like this blog! Incredible.
New Year's Eve is tonight but there's no imbibing in the works for me, just a wholesome gathering at the Morris Senior Center which is one of the finest assets of our prairie community. Just a little punch will be needed to usher in the New Year and new decade.
Unfortunately the Gophers football game is not on a channel we can watch.
Stay tuned, fellow knaves.
